Health, education and employment play vital roles in one’s well-being, according to Samal, Bataan Mayor Alexander Acuzar in his welcome remarks during last Wednesday’s blessing of Super Rural Health Unit with Sen. Bongo Go as special guest.
“If you have failing health, you cannot go out to work, more particularly if you lack education. So we need to be healthy– that’s why we need health facilities like Super RHU where we can go for our health needs,” the mayor explained in Filipino.
The Super RHU is compared to a mini-hospital because it is complete with x-ray and medical laboratories and birthing facilities. It was built through the funding sourced from the office of Sen. Christopher Lawrence Go who chairs the Senate Committees on Health and Sports.
As an act of gratitude and appreciation, the Sangguniang Bayan of Samal passed a resolution adopting the Senator as son of Samal town. In response, Go said, “I think you should not thank me, instead you thank our people from DSWD and frontliners who worked hard for us all.”
Also inaugurated was the newly-built Samal public market just opposite the Super RHU building.I
